mpegable X4 live

Mpegable X4 Live is a simple video compression system that converts files formatted as AVI, DivX, MPEG, MPG, and M1V to MP4, considerably reducing their size in the process.

In normal mode you can define the total and audio bitrate as well as the file's name and destination. In advanced mode you can additionally specify contrasts between image quality/playback smoothness and compression quality/encoding speed; you can specify the type of bitrate, cut margins from any side, and define the sound quality.

The program includes the MP4 player mpegable Player and mpegable DS decoder which you can use to play MP4 files in Windows Media Player.
